The Top 3 Toughest Female Anime Characters

Damsels in distress? Fan service? Sometimes it’s all too easy to forget some of the fiercest female anime characters who’d give even the toughest male anime characters a run for their money.

Erza Scarlet

Erza Scarlet from Fairytail, in my opinion could go to head to head with every and any male in the anime with ease. Whilst specialising in weapons with over 200 axes, swords and staffs and working her way towards becoming Master of the Fairy Tail Guild, she tops it off with being the Guilds most strongest female mage alive. One of her most famous quotes is

“You don’t die for friends; you live for them.”

Kaguya Otsutsuki

Kaguya Otsutski from the well known anime Naruto is a literal goddess, or as close as it gets. She’s a celestial being who existed long before the Hidden Villages, her main goal being to end the constant war by eating the gods tree fruit. Even way before becoming one of the first chakra users, her powers included travelling through space, hypnosis, wiping memories, emitting deadly beams of energy from her eyes, reading thoughts and emotions and controlling the natural environment. And on top of all that she can self heal if hurt during a battle, needless to say she’s definitely one if not the most powerful woman in anime.

Mikasa Ackerman

A list of the toughest female anime characters just would not be complete without the legend herself Mikasa Ackerman from Attack on Titan. Despite not being as “flashy” as the protagonist Eren she gets the job done and she’s great at it, ranking 1st out of all the cadets in the 104th training corps. So far in the anime she’s killed 10 titans by herself! Top military brass have stated that her “prowess is equal to that of a hundred soldiers”. Love her or hate her she’s proved this many times especially with her encounters taking down the Female Titan, who had killed some of the most top notch soldiers in her wake.
